What are Stocks, How to Buy and Sell Stocks, and Why Volume is Key

Feb 09, 2020

In this episode, I want to talk to you guys about how you can get started trading stocks.

We'll look at the basics of stocks, shares, what the difference between them is, how to buy and sell, as well as the rules of fluctuation of the stock market.

Investing in Stocks

Investing in the Stock Market is an alternative form of investment for people without a lot of cash on hand.

  • It's very easy to set up a trading account and there are very few limitations to get started trading.

The most important thing to always remember is to make informed purchases

Public Markets

Most people are trading Common Stocks which are companies that have shares on the public markets like Facebook, Netflix, etc.

Buying a share is essentially buying a part of a company

  • Most people think of stocks as sort of a gamble, but what you're really purchasing is a part of the company.

When you think of it this way, you'll understand why it's important to invest in the right stocks and companies.

Stocks vs. Shares

Purchasing stocks is usually about earning equity, while shares are usually given to those who are employed by a company.

  • Trading is when you're buying and selling stocks within the same day or the same week.

You are working with the volatility of stock price fluctuations in order to make a profit.

The price of the stock does not actually reflect the worth of the company, it actually reflects the demand for it on the market.

These are just some of the most basic concepts when it comes to trading in the Stock Market.
